Registered Nurse (RN) – OB/GYN

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) to join our esteemed partner hospital in Andalusia, AL. Job Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Plan, provide, and evaluate comprehensive nursing care to patients in the OB/GYN unit, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
• Assessment & Planning: Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with the healthcare team and patient/family to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Intervention & Evaluation: Implement nursing interventions, monitor patient responses, and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided.
• Communication: Communicate clearly and effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other team members regarding changes in patient condition and any concerns.
• Discharge Planning: Actively participate in the discharge planning process, providing patients and families with the necessary information and resources for a safe and successful transition.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Nursing Diploma program.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification preferred

Experience:

• Minimum six months of OB experience in an acute care setting.
