Polarean’s Xenon MRI to be used in lung therapy trial

Polarean Imaging's Xenon MRI will be used in a clinical trial that will test an investigational lung therapy.

The company's participation in the trial is partly the result of a collaboration with Vida Diagnostics. The trial will begin in the fourth quarter of this year at sites in the U.S. and Canada; trial participants will undergo scans at baseline and at the study's end to evaluate drug-induced changes on various components of alveolar gas-exchange, according to the firm.

Polarean and Vida will provide site qualification and training, image harmonization, and Xenon MRI biomarker analysis, it said.
