ARRS announces Resident/Fellow in Radiology awardees
The American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) is recognizing four radiologists, as well as their institutions and research projects, with its 2025 ARRS Resident/Fellow in Radiology Awards.
The following radiologists and their research projects are this year’s awardees:
- Shadi Ebrahimian, MD, of Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut is receiving a Resident/Fellow in Radiology Executive Council Award for “Evaluating AI Performance in Large Vessel Occlusion Detection: Impact on Time-to-Thrombectomy and Clinical Workflow Efficiency.”
- Ariel Kniss, MD, PhD, of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston is receiving a Resident/Fellow in Radiology Executive Council Award for “Mammographic Breast Density and Its Impact on Screening Performance Metrics: An Analysis of 489,439 Screening Mammograms.”
- Capt. Tej Mehta, MD, of Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, is receiving a Resident/Fellow in Radiology Melissa Rosado de Christenson Award for “Multiparametric, Multimodal Delta-Radiomics for the Prediction of Transarterial Chemoembolization Outcomes in Hepatocellular Carcinoma.”
- Jordan Chamberlin, MD, of the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston is receiving a Resident/Fellow in Radiology President’s Award for “Machine Learning Based Optimization of Root Factors Associated with Image Quality of Myocardial Late Iodine Enhancement.”
Supported by the Roentgen Fund, the ARRS Resident/Fellow in Radiology Awards are available to all ARRS in-training members in imaging and allied sciences research. The awardees will present their research during the 2026 ARRS Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh, PA.
