Clinical Staff Pharmacist – Inpatient (Rotating Shifts)
Location: Burlington, VT | Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week | Rotating Weekends
Job Type: Regular | Primary Shift: Night (8 Hours)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $5,000 (paid over 2 years, if eligible)
Relocation Assistance: Up to $9,200 (if eligible)
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join our inpatient pharmacy team. This full-time, rotating shift role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team and contribute to the safe and effective use of medications in diverse patient populations. You'll serve as an integral resource in antimicrobial stewardship, medication safety, and optimized pharmaceutical dosing.
Provide pharmacy services to patients, ensuring the accuracy and safety of medication orders
Perform clinical activities such as order verification, pharmacokinetics, IV to PO conversions, and therapeutic interchange
Serve as a resource for antimicrobial stewardship and medication safety initiatives
Attend multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to clinical initiatives
Provide drug information and patient education
Participate in educational/training activities, and serve as a preceptor for pharmacy residents and students
Offer direction to support staff and assume leadership responsibilities when needed
Work in a 24/7 inpatient pharmacy, with variable shifts, including weekends and holidays
Oncology, Surgery, Medicine
Cardiology, Pediatrics, Critical Care
Peri-operative, Same Day Infusions
Renal, Rehabilitation, Psychiatry
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program required
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience preferred
Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Vermont required
Experience:
2 years of clinical pharmacist experience in a health system REQUIRED
Up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus (paid over 2 years, if eligible)
