Manager Nursing – Psych-Adolescent

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a dynamic and experienced Nurse Manager to join our partner, a leading medical center in Oregon City, OR. As the leader of the adolescent psychiatric unit, you will have 24/7 accountability for the quality of care delivered and the outcomes of your team.

Position Overview

As the Manager of Nursing, you will be responsible for leading a team in a complex and changing environment, fostering a workplace where healing and wellness are optimized for both patients and caregivers. Your role is central to leading effective care delivery through strong caregiver engagement, wise use of resources, and compassionately holding others accountable. You will be instrumental in assembling and developing effective teams and will establish and sustain collaborative inter-professional relationships to support the organization’s strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Management:

  • Provide 24/7 oversight of all operations for the adolescent psychiatric unit.

  • Lead and develop effective teams of caregivers, ensuring high engagement and accountability.

  • Lead effective care delivery through wise use of resources and compassionate management.

• Quality & Safety:

  • Be accountable for the quality of care delivered and the outcomes of the unit.

  • Establish an environment where healing and wellness are optimized.

  • Ensure all practices and procedures align with the core values of the organization.

• Collaboration & Strategic Planning:

  • Sustain collaborative relationships with inter-professional teams.

  • Assist in the implementation of the organization’s strategic plans.

Qualifications

• Education:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.

  • A Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred.

  • Formal coursework in management, finance, and other administrative subjects is preferred.

• Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years in nursing with experience in progressive leadership roles is required.

  • Management experience is preferred.

• Licenses and Certifications:

  • An Oregon Registered Nurse License is required upon hire.

  • A National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.

  • A National Certification from a recognized professional organization in a relevant field of clinical expertise is preferred upon hire.
