Schedule: Full-Time | Part-Time | Shift Type: Day, Evening, Night Position Overview Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join a partner's team in Portland, OR. The successful candidate will perform imaging examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment. This is a pivotal role that requires a commitment to exceptional patient care and the ability to contribute to a team dedicated to clinical excellence.
Qualifications Required: • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement. • Current Oregon Radiographer License upon hire. • National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months (180 days) of hire. • National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification upon hire. • New graduates must have an Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) temporary license and obtain a permanent license within 6 months of hire.
Preferred: • Experience in a wide range of radiologic specialties such as surgical imaging, fluoroscopic and invasive procedures, and portable and outpatient imaging.
Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Excellence • Perform imaging examinations utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment. • Utilize clinical knowledge and judgment for proper positioning, radiation dose calibration, and patient treatment to produce high-quality images. • Perform all examinations with minimal radiation exposure to the patient and operator with ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) awareness. • Take into account individual patients' unique and/or age-related needs.
