Registered Nurse Director - Surgical Services

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a highly qualified Registered Nurse Director - Surgical Services to join our partner, a prestigious Level II Trauma Center located in Fort Pierce, FL.

Job Responsibilities:

As the Registered Nurse Director - Surgical Services, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of surgical services, including:

• Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategic plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
• Operational Management: Managing daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, budget management, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Clinical Excellence: Promoting and maintaining clinical excellence through evidence-based practices and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Patient Care: Ensuring the delivery of compassionate and effective patient care.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory standards, including Joint Commission and CMS.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN), Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Administration (MHA), or related field preferred
• Licensure:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida
• Certifications:
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred
  • Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) preferred
• Experience:
  • 3 years of experience in a leadership role preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • 3 years of experience as a circulating OR nurse in an acute care setting required
