Lead Surgical Excellence at a Premier Trauma Center

As Surgical Services Director, you will manage daily operations, provide strategic direction, and lead a skilled surgical team, combining administrative leadership with hands-on clinical expertise.

About the Role:

Lead and manage the daily operations of the surgical services department at a respected Level II Trauma Center. This is a hybrid role, requiring both administrative leadership and hands-on clinical expertise. The ideal candidate will be comfortable putting on scrubs, running a room, circulating, and working alongside their team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for the surgical services department.
• Ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled surgical professionals.
• Manage department resources, including staffing, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Implement performance improvement initiatives and best practices.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the State of California (Required)
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (Required) - MSN (Preferred)
• Recent circulating experience (Required)
• 3 years of experience in a leadership role (Manager or above) in surgical services (Preferred)
• Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR) (Preferred)
• Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) (Preferred)
