Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Stroke Program Manager (RN) to join our partner, a leading medical center in Palmdale, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and enhance stroke and sepsis programs within a 184-bed licensed acute care facility.

Essential Job Duties:

The Manager for the Stroke & Sepsis Programs will lead, direct, and have accountability for assigned areas. This role focuses on improving the patient pathway to stroke and sepsis treatment, working closely with physician partners, facility leaders, and the patient care team. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing stroke and sepsis patients from door to discharge.
  • Providing education and ensuring appropriate discharge disposition.
  • Coordinating care and providing follow-up for 90 days post-discharge.
  • Assisting with business planning, marketing, and program development.
  • Facilitating daily program operations, including budget management and policy adherence.
  • Collaborating with clinical leaders on program-specific clinical processes.
  • Acting as a mentor and coach to develop high-functioning teams.
  • Role modeling the facility's mission, vision, and values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Requirements:
    • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
    • Experience in Stroke & Sepsis Program Coordination: planning, implementing, and evaluating outcomes.
    • Bachelor's Degree required.
    • Master's Degree preferred.
    • Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of California.
    • Current basic life support (BLS) certification.
    • Advanced National Certification preferred.
