Position Summary

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and board-certified/board-eligible Physician to join our hospital partner in Hartford, Connecticut. This physician will deliver high-quality, culturally competent care in a collaborative and patient-focused environment. Ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and documentation skills. ‍ Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive primary care or infectious disease management services

• Perform evidence-based diagnostic assessments and initiate appropriate interventions

• Manage chronic and acute medical conditions across diverse adult patient populations

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team for holistic patient management

• Provide culturally competent care and build trust with patients of varied backgrounds

• Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation using an EHR

• Adhere to established departmental, organizational, and quality assurance protocols

• Participate in meetings, quality initiatives, and assigned administrative duties

• Follow safety and COVID-19 precautionary protocols including use of PPE and telehealth

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine (MD/DO)

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Infectious Diseases

• Unrestricted Connecticut Medical License (or eligibility)

• DEA and State Narcotic Registration (or ability to obtain)

• Minimum 3 years' experience in ambulatory or urgent care preferred

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred

• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

• Commitment to delivering culturally sensitive care

• Familiarity with EHR systems
