Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a passionate and experienced School-Based Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide exceptional care within the school system in Wilmington, NC. As a vital member of the pediatric care team, the SLP will perform speech and language evaluations, design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and work closely with educators and families to support students' academic and social development.
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing assessments
Create individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and evaluation results
Collaborate with school staff and families to meet IEP goals
Deliver targeted speech-language therapy and provide progress updates
Coach families on home-based strategies for communication and developmental support
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA and IDEA standards
Participate in school screenings and contribute to multidisciplinary evaluations
Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
Active or pending licensure in North Carolina as a Speech Language Pathologist
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates encouraged to apply
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a team-first mindset
Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings is highly desirable
