Pharmacy Clinical Specialist - Oncology

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Clinical Specialist with an oncology focus to join our partner, a leading medical center in Houston, TX. Position Overview

As a Pharmacy Clinical Specialist, you will support the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical services by managing protocols, formulary processes, and medication reconciliation activities. A key part of your role will be providing education to fellow pharmacists, nurses, and medical staff to ensure seamless collaboration. You will also have the rewarding opportunity to precept pharmacy students and residents on clinical patient care rotations, helping to shape the next generation of pharmacy professionals. This position includes a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• Required Experience: Hematology/Oncology experience is required.

• Required Education/Training:

  • Successful completion of an ASHP-accredited post-graduate year one (PGY1) residency training program OR three years of equivalent clinical pharmacy experience.

• Preferred Education/Training:

  • Successful completion of an ASHP-accredited post-graduate year two (PGY2) or fellowship is preferred.
