Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a dedicated Medical Technologist to join our partner, a leading medical center in Elko, NV. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care with a full-time, 4x10 night shift schedule. Position Overview

As a Medical Technologist, you will be a key member of the laboratory team, responsible for following standardized procedures to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of lab results. You will operate and maintain a variety of sophisticated laboratory equipment, perform both automated and manual tests, and analyze test results for accuracy and critical limits. Your work is essential to helping physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals make informed decisions to treat patients.

How You'll Contribute

• Prepare and analyze bodily fluids and substances for abnormalities and collect blood samples for transfusions.

• Operate laboratory equipment in a high-quality, effective manner.

• Analyze test results for accuracy and critical limits, then document and report results according to organizational standards.

• Perform Quality Assurance work to ensure the accuracy of all equipment and tests.

• Perform manual and automated tests according to detailed instructions from a physician.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a Medical Technologist with prior experience, as required for a Nevada General Laboratory Supervisor License.

• Required Qualifications:

  • Must have prior experience as required for the Nevada General Laboratory Supervisor License.

  • Must have an ASCP or AMT certification.

  • Applicants with a "CLT" pending license status will be considered for up to 3 months while obtaining their General Lab Supervisor License upon hire.

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of a National Registry Exam for Medical Technologist (offered through ASCP or AMT).
