Acute Care RN - Labor and Delivery

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a compassionate and skilled Acute Care Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to join our partner, a medical center in Polson, MT. This is a unique opportunity to provide exceptional care to mothers and babies in a supportive and close-knit community. We are offering a hiring bonus of up to $20,000 for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment.

Position Overview

As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will be a vital part of the team dedicated to bringing new life into the world. You will provide expert, patient-centered care throughout all stages of the birthing process, from admission and labor to delivery and immediate postpartum care. This posting is for multiple openings, offering both full-time and per diem schedules with various shifts, allowing for a flexible career path.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health and well-being of both mother and fetus throughout labor and delivery.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

• Assist in the delivery room, providing direct support to the healthcare team.

• Educate new parents on infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.

• Respond to emergencies with quick and decisive action.

• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.

• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other nurses to ensure a seamless and safe birthing experience.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

  • Upon hire, possession of a Montana Registered Nurse License.

  • Upon hire, possession of a National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association.

  • Within 90 days of hire, Provider NRP certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics.

  • A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Certification in your area of specialty.
