Administrative Director – Emergency Services

Full-Time | Humble, TX

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading Level II Trauma Center in Humble, TX, to find a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Director for their Emergency Services department. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead and manage a dynamic team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Lead the Way in Emergency Care

As the Administrative Director of Emergency Services, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Emergency Department. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of excellence, promoting collaboration, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
    • Accurately identify and solve problems affecting the Emergency Department.
    • Actively participate in hospital committees.
    • Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to staff.
    • Identify and mentor potential future leaders.
    • Adhere to all Human Resource policies.
    • Communicate effectively with staff.
    • Facilitate evidence-based employee engagement practices.
  • Patient Care and Quality:
    • Advance the patient experience agenda.
    • Enforce standards of emergency department care.
    • Develop, implement, and evaluate an ongoing emergency services program.
    • Oversee a performance improvement program.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure the department delivers quality services.
    • Monitor compliance with regulatory and hospital policies.
    • Follow the Hospital Exposure Control Plans.
    • Seek new program strategies and enhancements.
    • Develop and manage capital equipment requests.
  • Financial Management:
    • Be responsible for the fiscal management of the department.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
    • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration required.
  • Experience: 3 years of recent acute care Emergency Department Director experience required.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Currently licensed or eligible as a registered professional nurse in the state of Texas.
    • ACLS and PALS required.
    • CEN and TNCC preferred.
