Clinical Pharmacist (BCOP) – Oncology Specialist

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading full-service medical and surgical acute care facility in Gainesville, FL to identify a highly specialized Clinical Pharmacist with a Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP). Provide Expert Oncology Pharmacy Care in a Leading Acute Care Facility

As a BCOP-certified Clinical Pharmacist, you will deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care to oncology patients, specializing in TCT, CAR-T, and BMT, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize medication therapy.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to oncology patients, with a focus on those receiving T-Cell Therapy (TCT), CAR-T cell therapy, or Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT).
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement optimal medication therapy plans.
• Monitor drug therapy for efficacy, safety, and adverse drug reactions.
• Provide patient education and counseling on medications and treatment regimens.
• Participate in clinical trials and research activities related to oncology pharmacy.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of oncology pharmacy protocols and guidelines.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of oncology medications, treatment advancements, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree (Required)
• Active Florida Pharmacy License (Required)
• Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) (Required)
• PGY1 with robust oncology rotations or PGY2 residency in Oncology (Required)
• Recent (within the last year) experience as a Pharmacist in an acute hospital setting (Required)
• Must have Oncology experience (Required)
• Must have experience with TCT, CAR-T, or BMT (Required)
• Community/Retail Pharmacist will NOT be considered
