Join a leading healthcare facility in Plano, TX, and experience a rewarding career in a supportive and collaborative environment. Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Technologist to play a vital role in the care of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.

Assist in Life-Saving Cardiac Procedures

As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will work closely with physicians and other members of the cardiac team to ensure the safe and effective delivery of these procedures. You will operate and maintain specialized equipment, prepare patients for procedures, and monitor their vital signs during the procedure.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, including setting up equipment, monitoring hemodynamics, and assisting with interventions.
• Operate and maintain specialized equipment, including hemodynamic monitoring systems, fluoroscopy units, and other diagnostic tools.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
• Monitor patient vitals and identify and respond to potential complications.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and implementation of new protocols.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Associate's degree in a related field or completion of a US military training program with equivalent experience.
  • OR 2 years of related cardiovascular lab experience.
• Experience: Less than 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab is preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Must hold one of the following:
  • ARRT-R (Registered Radiologic Technologist)
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
  • MRT (Medical Radiologic Technologist)
  • ACLS (required within 30 days of hire)
  • BLS (required within 30 days of hire)
