Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist with R.T.(R)(VI)(ARRT) certification to join our partner, a comprehensive medical center in Eureka, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical cardiovascular imaging within a Level III Trauma Center.

Job Summary:

As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will perform a variety of cardiovascular and interventional imaging procedures, providing essential diagnostic information to physicians. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting patient care within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cardiovascular and interventional imaging procedures, including angiograms and other related procedures.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and calibration.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
• Acquire and analyze high-quality images, providing accurate and timely results.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures and patient information.
• Adhere to all safety and radiation protection protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of ARRT School, or equivalent education/experience.
• California Radiologic Technologist license upon hire.
• National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire.
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional training in angiocardiography, or equivalent education/experience.
• Advanced registration from ARRT in Cardiovascular and Interventional imaging upon hire.
• 2 years experience as a scrub technician in an acute care hospital.
