Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join a leading 422-bed acute care hospital in Saint Louis, MO. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced cardiovascular technology and contribute to exceptional patient care.
Provide Expert Cath Lab Services in a Leading Hospital
As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will play a crucial role in performing a variety of cardiac procedures, including diagnostic catheterizations and PCI, within a technologically advanced environment.
Job Summary:
- Perform a variety of cardiac procedures, including diagnostic catheterizations and PCI.
- Assist physicians with structural heart procedures (preferred experience).
- Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment.
- Document patient information accurately.
- Adhere to safety protocols and sterile techniques.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Scrub and monitor a variety of cardiac procedures, including diagnostic catheterizations and PCI.
- Assist physicians with structural heart procedures (preferred experience).
- Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment, including Client MacLab systems.
- Document patient information accurately using the Epic electronic health record system.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and sterile techniques.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
- Demonstrated proficiency in scrubbing and monitoring cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Experience with structural heart procedures is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current BLS certification.
- RCIS or ARRT (CV) certification is preferred.
Schedule:
- Full-time position, 4×10 hour shifts (days).
- On-call rotation required, up to 2 days per week and every other weekend.
