Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Pediatric Pathology department, ensuring high-quality patient care, research, education, and advocacy.
- Clinical Expertise: Oversee and participate in the diagnosis and interpretation of pediatric pathology specimens, including biopsies, surgical specimens, and autopsies.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other physicians, laboratory staff, and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Education: Participate in teaching and mentorship activities for residents, fellows, and medical students.
- Research: Foster and support research initiatives within the department to advance the field of pediatric pathology.
- Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the department, ensuring efficient workflow, resource allocation, and adherence to quality standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards for laboratory operations and testing.
Schedule:
- Call Schedule: Every other weekend call is required.

Qualifications:
- Required:
- MD or DO degree.
- Board Certified in Pediatric Pathology by the American Board of Pathology (BC AP/CP).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within pediatric pathology.
- Strong clinical and technical expertise in all areas of pediatric pathology.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred:
- Experience in a teaching hospital setting.
- Strong research background.
