Responsibilities:

• Nutrition Assessment: Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments to evaluate patients’ dietary needs and identify nutritional deficiencies.
• Develop Nutrition Care Plans: Develop individualized nutrition care plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs and health conditions.
• Patient Education: Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and their families on healthy eating habits, meal planning, and disease management.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Menu Planning: Assist in menu planning and development for patients with special dietary needs.
• Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance nutrition services and patient outcomes.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, care plans, and progress notes.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.
• Certification and Licensure:
  • Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible for registration.
  • Licensed Dietitian in the state of Georgia.
