Coordinate and Lead Clinical Operations in a Premier Open Heart Unit

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will manage clinical and operational functions of the CVOR unit, ensuring high-quality patient care, staff development, and efficient workflow.

Job Summary:

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing the clinical and operational functions of the Open Heart (CVOR) unit. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, staff development, and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily clinical operations, including patient assignments, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based care plans.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and identify opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Mentor and develop staff members through coaching, education, and performance evaluations.
  • Manage unit budgets and resources effectively.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of recent acute care Charge Nurse Open Heart RN (CVOR) experience.
  • Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained before employment start date).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
  • BSN or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in nursing or healthcare administration.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
