Coordinate and Lead Clinical Operations in a Premier Open Heart Unit
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will manage clinical and operational functions of the CVOR unit, ensuring high-quality patient care, staff development, and efficient workflow.
Job Summary:
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing the clinical and operational functions of the Open Heart (CVOR) unit. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, staff development, and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily clinical operations, including patient assignments, staffing, and resource allocation.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based care plans.
Monitor patient outcomes and identify opportunities for quality improvement.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Mentor and develop staff members through coaching, education, and performance evaluations.
Manage unit budgets and resources effectively.
Required Qualifications:
2 years of recent acute care Charge Nurse Open Heart RN (CVOR) experience.
Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained before employment start date).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date).
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date).
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
BSN or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in nursing or healthcare administration.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
