Computed Tomography Technologist

Location: Burlington, VT

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated CT Technologist to join our partner hospital in Burlington, VT. This position is ideal for a skilled technologist looking to provide high-quality patient care and imaging services.

Job Description:

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of computerized tomography (CT) procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist. This involves utilizing your knowledge of ionizing radiation and computer techniques to produce accurate and clear images for diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform CT scans on patients of all ages and demographics.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, position them correctly, and administer contrast media when necessary.
• Operate CT scanner and related equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and minimizing radiation exposure.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and accuracy, identifying any potential issues or artifacts.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, adhering to confidentiality guidelines.
• Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols and regulations to protect both patients and staff.
• Demonstrate a compassionate and patient-centered approach, ensuring patient comfort and understanding throughout the imaging process.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Graduate from a school of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JRCT.
• Certification:
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • CT certification is preferred but not required.
• Experience: While prior experience in CT or a related radiology position is preferred, on-the-job CT training is offered to candidates with active ARRT certification.

Schedule:

• Full-time: Five 8-hour shifts during a two-week pay period.
• Weekday Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Weekend Shifts: Every other

Benefits:

• Sign-on Bonus & Relocation Assistance:
  • External candidates (not employed within the network in the past year) are eligible for a hiring bonus between $3,000 and $7,500 (based on 20 hours/week scheduled hours), paid in installments.
  • Relocation assistance of up to $4,600 is available for candidates moving from a distance greater than 50 miles.
• On-the-job CT training: Education materials and reimbursement for the CT certification exam after successful completion.
