Computed Tomography Technologist – R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT)

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Computed Tomography Technologist to join a leading Level I Trauma Center in Saint Louis, MO. Provide Expert CT Imaging in a Level I Trauma Center
As a CT Technologist, you will perform a wide range of CT procedures, utilizing Siemens scanners, to provide accurate and timely diagnostic images for patients in a Level I Trauma Center.
Comprehensive Description:
You will be responsible for operating CT equipment, preparing patients for scans, and ensuring the quality of diagnostic images. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting the medical team in providing comprehensive care to patients with complex medical and trauma conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of CT procedures, including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction.
- Operate Siemens CT scanners and ensure optimal image quality.
- Prepare patients for CT scans and provide clear instructions.
- Administer contrast media as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols.
- Perform portable CT scans as needed.
- Assist with biopsies and other interventional procedures as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Licensure/Certification: R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT) certification required (must be in hand at time of submittal).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required, preferably in a Level I Trauma Center or large hospital setting.
- Certifications: BLS required.
- Skills: Proficiency with Siemens scanners, PACS, and contrast administration.
Shift Details:
- Night shifts (4×10 hours, 20:00 – 06:30).
- Every other weekend required.
Additional Information:
- Level I Trauma Center (Adult).
- Offers a full spectrum of medical and surgical services.
- No on-call requirements.
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs.
- Locals not accepted (75-mile radius restriction).
- Pending State License not accepted.
- RTO Restrictions: No more than 7 days within a 13-week contract.
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Patient Population: Adult.
- Work setting experience required: Outpatient, inpatient.
- Work setting experience preferred: Level I Trauma, Teaching Hospital, Community Hospital, Adult ICU.
- General skills experience required: PACS, Contrasts.
- General Skills experience preferred: IV Starts, Portables, Biopsies.
- CT Procedure experience preferred: Aspirations/Biopsies, Brain perfusion, Colonography, CT Arthrography, Drainage, Myelography, Transplant Studies.
- Type of Facility: Short Term Acute Care.
- Total Staffed Beds: 1259.
- Scrub Color: Black, Red, or White.
- Charting: EPIC.
- Parking: Monthly passes available.
- COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Not Required.
- Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only.
