Director of Community Physician Group

Regional Medical Center | Full-Time, Day Shift | Missoula, MT

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead and shape the future of a dynamic Community Physician Group within a vital regional medical center in Missoula, MT. This 151-bed acute care facility provides a wide range of services to a large geographic area, including vital emergency services.

Lead and Grow a Dynamic Physician Group

As the Director of Community Physician Group, you will oversee the daily operations, strategic growth, and development of physician practices and associated service lines. You will lead and mentor a team of physicians, APPs, and clinic support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of physician practices, focusing on growth, development, and optimization of service lines.
  • Lead and mentor a team of physicians, APPs, and clinic support staff.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve performance targets and align with organizational goals.
  • Manage physician and APP hiring, engagement, compensation, quality, patient experience, and access.
  • Optimize clinical and business operations for efficiency, effectiveness, cost containment, and high-quality patient care.
  • Develop business plans and pro-formas to grow and implement new services.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budget planning, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to advance organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Master's degree in health or business administration preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Certification(s):
    • CPPS, CMPE (valued)
  • Work Experience:
    • Minimum of 7 years of progressive physician practice management or related healthcare management experience.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication, judgment, and decision-making skills.
    • Proven ability to build relationships, engage teams, and lead by influence.
    • Strategic planning, risk assessment, and implementation expertise.
    • Financial acumen, including budget management and proforma development.
    • Strong understanding of operations, transformation, and change management.
    • Expertise in process optimization, performance management, and benchmarking.
