Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Health Information Management (HIM) for a 107-bed acute care facility in Mayfield, KY. This pivotal role oversees the HIM department, ensuring compliance with standards and driving organizational success.

Lead and Innovate in Health Information Management

As the Director of HIM, you will develop and implement departmental goals, manage operations, oversee budgets, and ensure quality assurance. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure compliance with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement goals, policies, and standards.
• Operational Management: Oversee departmental operations and audits.
• Budget Oversight: Prepare and monitor departmental budgets.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Required: Associate's degree or completion of an accredited program in Health Information Management or a related discipline.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• Certifications:
  • Required: Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification.
  • Preferred: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification.
  • Registration with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) is mandatory.
• Skills:
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively under stress.
  • Proficiency in managing a multidisciplinary team.
