As Director of Nursing for Emergency Services, you will oversee department operations, lead a skilled nursing team, and ensure exceptional patient care in a fast-paced Level IV Trauma Center.

Responsibilities:

• Manage department functions to facilitate effective and efficient operation, ensuring optimal patient flow and resource utilization.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the emergency nursing team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote excellence in patient care and align with regulatory standards.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and budget management for the department.
• Monitor and analyze quality metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, other departments, and community partners to ensure coordinated and seamless care delivery.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the Emergency Services department.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Required: Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or a BSN.
  • Preferred: MSN or Master’s in a healthcare-related field.
• Experience:
  • 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience with progressive leadership.
• Licensure: Current State of California Registered Nurse License.
• Certifications:
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) certification within 1 year of hire.
