Director of Surgical Services

Medical Center | Full-Time | Fort Mohave, AZ | $20,000 Sign-On Bonus

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Director of Surgical Services to join our partner Medical Center in Fort Mohave, AZ. This pivotal leadership role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care and oversees the smooth operation of the surgical department.

Lead and Innovate in Surgical Services

As the Director of Surgical Services, you will assure the delivery of exceptional patient care, provide leadership and support to staff, lead quality improvement activities, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care Oversight: Assure the delivery of exceptional patient care.
• Leadership & Support: Serve as a resource for staff and promote professional growth.
• Quality Improvement: Lead Quality Improvement Activities.
• Staff Education: Oversee and coordinate staff education.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience:
  • 5 years of current nursing experience, with a focus on surgical services preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Current RN license in Arizona or a valid multistate license.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (if the employee has ACLS, BLS is NOT required).
  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • PALS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification preferred.
  • Moderate Sedation certification is required within 90 days of hire.
  • APEX Training within 90 days of hire.
• Skills:
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
