Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading Level II Trauma Center in El Paso, TX to find an experienced and driven Director of Surgical Services. This is an exceptional opportunity for a nursing leader to oversee and optimize the perioperative department in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

About the Role:

The Director of Surgical Services plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. You will lead and mentor a talented team of professionals while managing the day-to-day operations of the surgical services department. This is a 24/7 responsibility position, requiring a dedicated and passionate leader.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the surgical services department.
• Ensure adherence to the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.
• Oversee and optimize operational efficiency, including staffing, scheduling, and resource management.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and professional development.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Manage departmental budgets and ensure financial performance.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated care.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Required)
• Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Preferred)
• 3 years of experience in a leadership role (Preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Active Registered Nurse license in Texas (Required)
• Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR) (Preferred)
• Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) (Preferred)
• At least 3 years of acute bedside experience as a Circulating OR RN (Required)
