Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled and dedicated Echocardiograph Technologist to join a dynamic medical center in Portland, OR. This is a full-time position with multiple shifts available, offering the chance to perform vital diagnostic testing and contribute to high-quality patient care. Provide Essential Cardiac Imaging Services

As an Echocardiograph Technologist, you will play a crucial role in performing a variety of echocardiographic examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. You will operate advanced ultrasound equipment, prepare patients for procedures, and ensure the delivery of high-quality images for accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities:

• Perform echocardiograms and other cardiovascular ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering questions.
• Operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
• Analyze acquired images and prepare preliminary reports for physician interpretation.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Preferred: Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from a CAAHPE-accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Experience:
  • Preferred: One (1) year of experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations OR a minimum of 800 exams using all available imaging modalities.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Upon Hire: Oregon Sonographer license.
  • Upon Hire: One of the following certifications:
    • National Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) – Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
    • National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (CCI)
    • National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) – American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Upon Hire: BLS – American Heart Association certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pediatric echocardiography experience.
• Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices).
• Experience with echo-guided transcatheter procedures.
