Virtus Healthcare Staffing seeks a dedicated Electrophysiology Technician to join our partner, a leading medical center in Portland, OR. This is a full-time, day shift position at a 523-bed facility established in 1875.

Contribute to Advanced Cardiac Care

As an Electrophysiology Technician, you will play a vital role in providing technical and clinical support for electrophysiology procedures. You will utilize your specialized training and skills to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders. This role requires a strong understanding of cardiac electrophysiology, advanced technology, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide frontline technical and clinical support for electrophysiology procedures.
• Utilize advanced technological application skills for a variety of procedures, such as ablations, pacemakers, and defibrillator implants.
• Assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders.
• Operate and maintain electrophysiology equipment.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide education and support.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to provide optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

• Education: Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
• Experience: Experience in a high-volume arrhythmia service or cardiac cath lab.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Upon hire: Oregon Radiographer License.
  • Upon hire: BLS – American Heart Association.
  • Upon hire: ACLS – American Heart Association.
  • Preferred: RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist) within 2 years of hire.
