Electrophysiology Technologist – Cath Laboratory

Location: Anchorage, AK

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Electrophysiology Technologist to join our partner medical center’s Cath Lab in Anchorage, AK. This full-time, day shift position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias.

Hours:

• Full Time (40 hours a week)
• Day Shift

Responsibilities:

• Assist electrophysiologists and cardiologists during electrophysiology procedures, such as cardiac ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, and electrophysiology studies.
• Prepare and operate specialized equipment, including catheters, guidewires, and recording systems.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and hemodynamic parameters during procedures.
• Provide patient education and support before, during, and after procedures.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of procedures and patient care.
• Adhere to strict sterile technique and infection control protocols.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon hire, one of the following:
  • National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) – e.g., Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
  • OR National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – e.g., Registered Technologist in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI)
• Upon hire:
  • National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification
  • National Provider ACLS – American Heart Association certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education/Training: Graduation from an accredited school with supervised clinical experience in invasive electrophysiological procedures, or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Special Procedures/Cath Lab Cardiovascular Technician.
  • Experience in invasive electrophysiological procedures is preferred.
