Job Description:
This position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality emergency care within a Level II Trauma Center. As an Emergency Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for the independent evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients presenting with a wide range of medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to a diverse patient population presenting with a variety of emergency medical conditions.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform a wide range of emergency procedures, including intubations, chest tubes, central lines, and critical care.
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, paramedics, and other specialists.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
Schedule:
- Full-time, 12-hour shifts (day/night/weekend rotations).
- 40 hours of physician coverage daily.
- No mid-level provider support.

- 24-hour physician coverage.

Qualifications:
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience.
- Specialized Experience: Trauma and advanced procedures in Level II or academic settings.
- Prior Duties: Emergency care with comprehensive procedural expertise.
- Education: Board-certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM required).
- Licenses: Eligible for a North Dakota Medical License.
- Certifications:
- ACLS, PALS, and ATLS required.
- Personality Factors: Confident, skilled, and collaborative, with a commitment to patient-centered care.

Compensation & Benefits:
- W2 Employee (Living in the Community):
- Base Compensation: $250/hr.
- Quality Bonus: $10/hr (paid quarterly).
- Annualized: Approximately $540,800 based on 2,160 hours/year, including bonuses.
- Sign-on Bonus: $50,000 (treated as a forgivable loan over 3 years).
- Benefits: Employer-paid health insurance (HSA option), 401K Safe-Harbor Plan (3% company contribution), $5,000 CME, paid professional liability insurance.
- 1099 Independent Contractor (Living in the Community):
- Base Compensation: $275/hr. $10/hr quality bonus.
- Annualized: Approximately $615,600 based on 2,160 hours/year, including bonuses.
- 1099 Independent Contractor (Travel):
- Base Compensation: $285/hr.
- Relocation Assistance: $15,000 relocation assistance is available.
