Emergency Medicine Physician – Williston, ND

Job Description:

This position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality emergency care within a Level IV Trauma Center. As an Emergency Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for the independent evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients presenting with a wide range of medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients presenting with a variety of emergency medical conditions.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
• Perform a wide range of emergency procedures, including intubations, chest tubes, and central lines.
• Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, paramedics, and other specialists.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.

Schedule:

• Full-time, 12-hour shifts (day/night/weekend rotations).

Team Size:

• 24-hour physician coverage with 12 hours of mid-level assistance during peak hours.

Qualifications:

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years of emergency medicine experience required.
• Specialized Experience: FM/IM with extensive emergency and trauma experience accepted (3 years with 250 case logs within the past year).
• Prior Duties: Emergency care, including trauma and acute patient management.
• Education: Board-certified/board-eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM preferred).
• Licenses: Eligible for a North Dakota Medical License.
• Certifications:
  • ACLS, PALS, and ATLS required.
• Personality Factors: Confident, skilled, and collaborative, with a commitment to patient-centered care.
