Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading healthcare organization in Great Barrington, MA, seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced primary and specialty nursing services. This full-time opportunity involves conducting patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and promoting healthy habits to improve patient well-being.

Position Overview:

As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages. You will work autonomously and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide a full spectrum of primary care services, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, managing chronic conditions, and promoting wellness.

Responsibilities:

• Perform physical exams and patient observations.
• Record patients' medical histories and symptoms.
• Develop new patient care plans and contribute to existing ones.
• Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests.
• Monitor and operate medical equipment.
• Diagnose health issues and administer medicine and other treatments.
• Detect changes in patient's health and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Consult with other healthcare professionals and families.
• Educate patients and their families on managing and preventing illness and injury.

Qualifications:

• Education: Master's degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Licensure in the State of Massachusetts.
  • Board-certified by either ANCC or AANP.
• Experience: Experience providing primary care as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Skills:
  • Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems.
  • Understanding of pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of disease prevention.
