Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading healthcare organization in Great Barrington, MA, seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced primary and specialty nursing services. This full-time opportunity involves conducting patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and promoting healthy habits to improve patient well-being.
Position Overview:
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages. You will work autonomously and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide a full spectrum of primary care services, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, managing chronic conditions, and promoting wellness.
Responsibilities:
- Perform physical exams and patient observations.
- Record patients' medical histories and symptoms.
- Develop new patient care plans and contribute to existing ones.
- Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests.
- Monitor and operate medical equipment.
- Diagnose health issues and administer medicine and other treatments.
- Detect changes in patient's health and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Consult with other healthcare professionals and families.
- Educate patients and their families on managing and preventing illness and injury.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Licensure in the State of Massachusetts.
- Board-certified by either ANCC or AANP.
- Experience: Experience providing primary care as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems.
- Understanding of pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of disease prevention.
