Family Nurse Practitioner – Urgent Care

Location: Penn Yan, NY

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our partner Medical Group in Penn Yan, NY, and contribute to expanding access to care in the community. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to work in urgent care, providing timely and comprehensive care to patients of all ages.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat patients presenting to the urgent care setting with a variety of acute illnesses and injuries.
• Perform thorough physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and provide patient education on self-care and follow-up instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records, adhering to all documentation standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
• Active and unrestricted NYS License
• Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic urgent care environment

Schedule:

• Full-time, 36 hours per week
• 3-4 days per week
