Inpatient Pharmacist Lead

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is proud to partner with a renowned Level I Trauma Center in Burlington, Vermont, to seek a highly skilled and motivated Inpatient Pharmacist Lead to join their team.

Lead the Way in Inpatient Pharmacy Services

As an Inpatient Pharmacist Lead, you will serve as a pivotal member of the overnight pharmacy team, working alongside another pharmacist to ensure seamless inpatient pharmacy services. Your expertise will support a variety of patient populations, including Oncology, Surgery, Medicine, Cardiology, Pediatrics, Adult and Pediatric Critical Care, Peri-operative Care, Psychology, Same Day Infusions, Renal and Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to diverse patient populations.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize medication therapy outcomes.
• Oversee and manage medication distribution, compounding, and dispensing processes.
• Monitor and evaluate patient-specific pharmacological treatments.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy (required)
  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (preferred)
• Experience:
  • Two years of clinical pharmacist experience in a health system (preferred)
  • ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience (preferred)
• Licensure: Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Vermont (required)
