Interventional Radiology Technologist – Manchester, NH

Position Overview:

The Interventional Radiology Technologist plays a critical role in the success of interventional radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and assisting physicians in providing high-quality care. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with Interventional Radiology Procedures:
  • Assist physicians during a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including but not limited to:
    • Angioplasty
    • Stent placement
    • Embolization
    • Gastrostomy Tube Placement
    • Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter placement
    • Mesenteric Angiography
    • Renal Artery Stent Placement
    • Ureteral Stent Placement
    • Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy
    • Vertebroplasty
    • TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt)
    • Central Venous Access/Port Placement
    • Dialysis Graft Creation/Revision
    • Dialysis Graft interventions (fistulograms/declots)
    • Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography
    • Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy
    • Central Venous Access (non-Tunneled/PICC lines)
    • Central Venous Access (Tunneled Port)
    • PICC Lines- Care and Maintenance
  • Prepare the interventional radiology suite for procedures by setting up sterile fields, preparing equipment, and ensuring proper inventory levels.
  • Pass instruments and equipment to the physician during the procedure.
  • Monitor patient hemodynamics and vital signs throughout the procedure.
  • Assist with patient positioning and draping.
• Patient Care:
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Assist with patient preparation and post-procedure care.
• Maintain a Sterile Environment:
  • Adhere to strict aseptic technique and maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure.
  • Adhere to all infection control guidelines and safety protocols.
• Quality Improvement:
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of patient care.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R)) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist in Vascular/Interventional Radiography (R.T.(VI)) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologist Technologist in a hospital setting is required.
• Other Requirements:
  • Experience with Siemens ICONO Bi-plane equipment is preferred.
  • Experience in a variety of procedures including those listed above.
  • Experience with adult patients in an outpatient, ER, and trauma setting is required.
  • Ability to work 4×10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM).
  • Willingness to participate in weekend call rotation as needed (every 4th or 5th weekend).
  • Ability to travel within a 50-mile radius of Manchester, NH.
  • Travelers must not be former employees of any facility associated with Solution Health.
