Interventional Radiology Technologist – Manchester, NH

Position Overview:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist plays a critical role in the success of interventional radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and assisting physicians in providing high-quality care. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Interventional Radiology Procedures:
- Assist physicians during a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including but not limited to:
- Angioplasty
- Stent placement
- Embolization
- Gastrostomy Tube Placement
- Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter placement
- Mesenteric Angiography
- Renal Artery Stent Placement
- Ureteral Stent Placement
- Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy
- Vertebroplasty
- TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt)
- Central Venous Access/Port Placement
- Dialysis Graft Creation/Revision
- Dialysis Graft interventions (fistulograms/declots)
- Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography
- Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy
- Central Venous Access (non-Tunneled/PICC lines)
- Central Venous Access (Tunneled Port)
- PICC Lines- Care and Maintenance
- Prepare the interventional radiology suite for procedures by setting up sterile fields, preparing equipment, and ensuring proper inventory levels.
- Pass instruments and equipment to the physician during the procedure.
- Monitor patient hemodynamics and vital signs throughout the procedure.
- Assist with patient positioning and draping.
- Patient Care:
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
- Assist with patient preparation and post-procedure care.
- Maintain a Sterile Environment:
- Adhere to strict aseptic technique and maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure.
- Adhere to all infection control guidelines and safety protocols.
- Quality Improvement:
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of patient care.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R)) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist in Vascular/Interventional Radiography (R.T.(VI)) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologist Technologist in a hospital setting is required.
- Other Requirements:
- Experience with Siemens ICONO Bi-plane equipment is preferred.
- Experience in a variety of procedures including those listed above.
- Experience with adult patients in an outpatient, ER, and trauma setting is required.
- Ability to work 4×10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM).
- Willingness to participate in weekend call rotation as needed (every 4th or 5th weekend).
- Ability to travel within a 50-mile radius of Manchester, NH.
- Travelers must not be former employees of any facility associated with Solution Health.
