Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Full-Time (0.9 FTE), Night Shift | Ketchum, ID

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our partner medical facility's Labor & Delivery unit in Ketchum, ID. This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive care to expectant mothers and their newborns in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

As a Labor & Delivery Nurse, you'll be a vital part of a team that helps bring new life into the world. You'll provide compassionate care to mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire process.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
• Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based nursing interventions.
• Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs, recognizing and responding to any potential complications.
• Assist with deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean births.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Work effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate degree in nursing required, Bachelor of Nursing Degree preferred.
• Experience: 1 year of RN experience in Labor & Delivery or a related field.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Current RN licensure in Idaho.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification through the American Heart Association or client.
