Virtus Healthcare Staffing seeks a dedicated Lead Clinical Pharmacist (BCPS) to join our partner, a leading medical center in Seaside, OR. This is a full-time, day shift position at a 25-bed critical access hospital offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
Lead the Way in Pharmacy Services
As a Lead Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the daily organizational and operational activities of the Pharmacy. You will provide oversight of pharmacists and technicians involved in pharmacy operations, ensuring the accurate, safe, and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services. This is a leadership role that offers the opportunity to further develop your skills and prepare for future pharmacy leadership positions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the pharmacy management team in coordinating the daily organizational and operational activities of the Pharmacy.
- Provide oversight of pharmacists and technicians involved in pharmacy operations.
- Coordinate staffing as required per workload/staff availability.
- Lead the integrated provision of accurate, safe, efficient, and cost-effective pharmacy services.
- Oversee an area or specialty within the pharmacy department, such as central unit dose, IV room, or satellite pharmacy.
- Mentor and guide pharmacy staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain accurate documentation.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- PharmD: Pharmacy OR
- Bachelor's Degree: BS in Pharmacy
- Licensure: Oregon Pharmacist License upon hire.
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of relevant practice setting experience or PGY1 with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Training in Process Improvement methods such as Six Sigma, LEAN Methodology, and CAP tools.
- 1 year of Leadership experience.
