Lead and Innovate in Med/Surg/Telemetry
As Manager of Med/Surg/Telemetry, you will oversee daily operations, lead a dynamic team, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in a Level II Trauma Center.
Position Overview:
This full-time position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead and manage a dynamic team in a facility renowned for its specialized services, including the region’s only Pediatric Emergency Services team, a comprehensive OB/Emergency Department program, and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The hospital boasts impressive annual figures with 15,556 admissions, 92,375 emergency department visits, and 3,100 births.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Oversee daily unit operations, manage patient flow, and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor staff, foster a positive work environment, and promote professional development.
- Patient Care: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, monitor patient outcomes, and ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Compliance & Quality: Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to hospital policies, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Budget & Resources: Manage unit budget effectively and promote cost-effective care.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (required).
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (preferred).
- Experience:
- Two (2) years of recent department-specific experience (required).
- Charge nurse or supervisory expertise in Med/Surg/Telemetry (preferred).
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Registered Nurse with current California RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Basic EKG/tele interpretation experience (required) OR successful completion of a Basic EKG class within six months of employment.
- Skills:
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
- Problem-solving and data analysis abilities.
