MRI Technologist – Multiple Positions

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking dedicated MRI Technologists to join our partner hospital in Portland, OR. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge imaging technology and contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) examinations on patients of all ages, adhering to physician orders and safety protocols.
- Utilize your expertise in MRI techniques and knowledge of anatomy and physiology to acquire high-quality diagnostic images.
- Prepare patients for MRI scans, explaining the procedure, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Monitor patients during scans and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions or complications.
- Process and evaluate images, ensuring accuracy and clarity for physician interpretation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Required Qualifications:
- Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
- Upon hire: Oregon Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist License OR Oregon Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Temporary License.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification.
- Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR National Certified MRI Technologist – American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- For new graduates:
- Must have an OBMI temporary license and obtain a permanent license within 6 months of hire.
