Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a premier Level I Trauma Center in Sanford, Florida, to find a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse Manager for their Neuro ICU/PCU.

Lead and Inspire in a Leading Neuro Critical Care Unit

As the Nurse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of the Neuro ICU/PCU, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Position Overview:

This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work in a specialized unit, providing leadership and management to a dedicated team in a Level I Trauma Center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the nursing team.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Promote the use of evidence-based practices and clinical pathways.
• Advocate for patient rights and ensure patient safety.
• Participate in and lead quality improvement initiatives.
• Analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate staff education and training programs.
• Support professional growth and development of nursing staff.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, other departments, and hospital leadership.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.

• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of recent acute care experience required.
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Current RN license in the State of Florida or compact state.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment.
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 30 days of employment.
  • ENPC or PALS within 60 months of employment.
