Assistant Nurse Manager – OR/PACU – Modesto, CA

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading healthcare facility in Modesto, California to find a skilled and motivated Assistant Nurse Manager for their OR/PACU. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN with leadership aspirations to join a dynamic and supportive team.

About the Role:

This is a part-time, onsite position (32 hours per week) with a schedule of: Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Saturday & Sunday 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM. You will be an integral part of the perioperative leadership team, participating in manager on-call rotation.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Nurse Manager in overseeing daily operations of the OR and PACU.
• Provide clinical and operational leadership to the nursing staff.
• Supervise and mentor nurses, ensuring high-quality patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement activities.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse License in California (Required)
• CNOR Certification (Required)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (Required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role (charge nurse, preceptor, quality improvement champion, etc.) (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required)
• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement, clinical care delivery processes, staffing, and budgeting (Required)
• Knowledge of Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other federal, state, and local regulatory requirements (Required)
• Strong interpersonal communication skills (Required)
• ACLS Certification (Strongly Preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Preferred)
• Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
