Nurse Practitioner – Abilene, TX

Position Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality primary care to patients in a collaborative and supportive environment. You will play a vital role in the healthcare team, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Prescribe medications and manage patient medications.
• Educate and counsel patients on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and medication management.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Perform procedures as authorized by state regulations and facility protocols.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Stay up-to-date on current medical practices and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANP) in the state of Texas.
• Current Texas state license as a Registered Nurse (BSN).
• BLS certification.
• No minimum experience required, but experience in primary care is preferred.

• BLS (required)
• Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively.
