Responsibilities:

• Neonatal Care: Provide comprehensive care to newborns in the NICU, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Family-Centered Care: Collaborate with families to develop and implement individualized care plans, providing education and support throughout their NICU journey.
• Procedures: Assist with and perform procedures such as intubation, ventilation, and central line placement.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest advancements in neonatal care.

Qualifications:

• Required:
  • NNP-BC certification.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing with Neonatal Nurse Practitioner specialization.
  • Minimum one (1) year of recent Neonatal NP experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or recent completion of a Neonatal ICU Fellowship.
  • Current and active RN and NP licenses in California.
  • Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency.
  • Active DEA license (transferable to California if out-of-state).
  • Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications.
  • Ability to obtain CMS Medicare and Medicaid enrollment through credentialing by the first clinical day.
• Preferred:
  • Previous experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU.

Additional Requirements:

• Must have a supervising physician to practice (as per state regulations).
• California driver's license (CDL) if required for the position.
