Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Polysomnographer/Sleep Technologist to join a specialized team in Orange, CA. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential sleep study services to pediatric patients in a compassionate and professional environment.
Provide Expert Pediatric Sleep Study Services
As a Pediatric Polysomnographer/Sleep Technologist, you will perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis on pediatric patients, ensuring accurate and reliable data for diagnosis and treatment.
Position Overview:
- Perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis on pediatric patients.
- Prepare patients for sleep studies and apply electrodes and sensors.
- Monitor patients during sleep studies and collect and analyze data.
- Score sleep studies and generate reports for physician interpretation.
- Maintain equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
Important Notes:
- Start Dates: 2/10 or 2/24 ONLY.
- Must be willing to take cases at both the main campus and the Mission Viejo location.
- Must be willing to sign an on-duty meal agreement (skipped meal).
- Pediatric sleep experience is REQUIRED.
- 3 years of experience required.
- Will also accept a California Licensed RCP with Pediatric Sleep Experience and RPSGT.
Position Details:
- Shift: 3x12s Nights, 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
- Required Certifications: BLS, PALS or PEARS, RPSGT
- Accepts First Time Travelers: No
- Call Required: No
- Weekend Coverage: Variable
Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
- Perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis on pediatric patients.
- Prepare patients for sleep studies, explaining the process and answering questions.
- Apply electrodes and sensors according to established procedures.
- Monitor patients during sleep studies, collecting and analyzing data.
- Score sleep studies and generate reports for physician interpretation.
- Calibrate and maintain equipment.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
- Provide patient education and support.
