Pediatric Polysomnographer/Sleep Technologist – RPSGT

Full-Time, Night Shift | Orange, CA

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Polysomnographer/Sleep Technologist to join a specialized team in Orange, CA. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential sleep study services to pediatric patients in a compassionate and professional environment.

Provide Expert Pediatric Sleep Study Services

As a Pediatric Polysomnographer/Sleep Technologist, you will perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis on pediatric patients, ensuring accurate and reliable data for diagnosis and treatment.

Position Overview:

  • Perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis on pediatric patients.
  • Prepare patients for sleep studies and apply electrodes and sensors.
  • Monitor patients during sleep studies and collect and analyze data.
  • Score sleep studies and generate reports for physician interpretation.
  • Maintain equipment and adhere to safety protocols.

Important Notes:

  • Start Dates: 2/10 or 2/24 ONLY.
  • Must be willing to take cases at both the main campus and the Mission Viejo location.
  • Must be willing to sign an on-duty meal agreement (skipped meal).
  • Pediatric sleep experience is REQUIRED.
  • 3 years of experience required.
  • Will also accept a California Licensed RCP with Pediatric Sleep Experience and RPSGT.

Position Details:

  • Shift: 3x12s Nights, 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
  • Required Certifications: BLS, PALS or PEARS, RPSGT
  • Accepts First Time Travelers: No
  • Call Required: No
  • Weekend Coverage: Variable

Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):

  • Perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis on pediatric patients.
  • Prepare patients for sleep studies, explaining the process and answering questions.
  • Apply electrodes and sensors according to established procedures.
  • Monitor patients during sleep studies, collecting and analyzing data.
  • Score sleep studies and generate reports for physician interpretation.
  • Calibrate and maintain equipment.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
  • Provide patient education and support.
