Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading Trauma Level I regional integrated healthcare system hospital in Philadelphia, PA, to identify a passionate and skilled Pediatric Pulmonologist. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to join a new and growing program, providing comprehensive care to pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Help Build a New Pediatric Pulmonology Program

As a Pediatric Pulmonologist, you will play a vital role in the development and growth of a new program, providing comprehensive care to children with respiratory conditions. You will engage in teaching and mentorship opportunities with residents, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the advancement of pediatric pulmonology.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients with respiratory conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Diagnose and manage a variety of respiratory disorders, including asthma, cystic fibrosis, and pneumonia.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as bronchoscopy and pulmonary function testing.
  • Participate in the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and patient-centered care.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and program development.
  • Explore opportunities in sleep medicine, if desired.
  • Provide valuable consultations to other hospital departments.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics.
  • Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship.
  • Unrestricted PA Medical License.
  • PA DEA License.
  • Strong clinical skills and experience in diagnosing and managing pediatric respiratory conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for teaching and mentorship.
