Physical Therapist – Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT)

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist with Lymphedema Certification to join our partner, a pediatric Level II Trauma Center hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. This hospital provides a full range of services, including cardiovascular, neuroscience and spine, orthopedics, cancer care, women's services, mental health and wellness, and other specialty services. Provide Specialized Lymphedema Therapy in a Pediatric Trauma Center

As a Physical Therapist with CLT certification, you will provide comprehensive physical therapy services, develop individualized treatment plans, and educate patients and families in a pediatric setting.

Position Summary:

The Physical Therapist will provide direct patient care services in assigned areas, including evaluation, assessment, treatment planning, program development, evaluation of response to care, and treatment plan adjustments as needed. This role involves patient, family, peer, and community education, as well as coordination of services with other healthcare professionals, including physicians. The Physical Therapist II will also demonstrate advanced skills and function as a clinical instructor for students and interns.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive physical therapy services, including evaluation, assessment, and treatment.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Educate patients, families, peers, and the community about relevant conditions and treatment strategies.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Serve as a clinical instructor for students and interns, fostering their professional development.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in professional development activities to maintain current knowledge and skills.
  • Promote hospital goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensure: California Physical Therapist License upon hire.
  • Certification: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification upon hire.
  • Experience: 0-3 years of clinical experience as a practicing therapist.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's Degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy.
  • Experience:
    • Completed a project or special assignment related to program or staff development.
    • Served as a clinical instructor for interning students and participated in presenting in-services to staff/students.
    • Participated in at least one community service event in the past year.
  • Membership: APTA Member upon hire.
