Physical Therapist – Outpatient

Position Overview

As an Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and educating patients and their families. This is a dynamic role where you will work independently without direct supervision, while still having access to supervisory guidance when needed. Your practice will include assessment, treatment planning, and the implementation of therapeutic techniques to address the unique needs of a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment & Care: Assess patients and develop an age-appropriate treatment plan based on their functional abilities.

• Treatment & Education: Implement a plan of care through therapeutic techniques, and provide education and communication to patients and their families.

• Professional Standards: Adhere to the standards of Physical Therapy Practice, maintaining professionalism and integrity in all interactions.

• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to patient care.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.

  • A New Mexico Physical Therapist License is required upon hire.

  • A National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting.

  • Expertise as a Neonatal Therapist is a plus.
